#MentalHealthAwareness. A few cool things we've read last month. Go check it out, it's worth it.

We read a lot here at Memo. Here is a round-up of a couple of the cool articles we've been reading this Mental Health Month:

  • How to Keep Going When You Don’t Know What’s Next
  • A Shouldn’t-Be-Necessary-But-Amazingly-Still-Is - Guide to Apologizing
  • To Live a Meaningful Life, Remember This One Thing
  • LifeFaker.com - You won't believe this

1. How to Keep Going When You Don’t Know What’s Next

“I come up with a melody, turn it into a song, and then finally, I keep turning the knobs until it sounds right.”

What we liked:

2. A Shouldn’t-Be-Necessary-But-Amazingly-Still-Is Guide to Apologizing

“Part of redressing any grievance is letting the other person know you’re aware of the line you’ve crossed without attempting to blur that line”

What we liked:

  • There are about 6 elements to a good apology... and none of them are your feelings
  • Make sure you are really sorry when you apologise
  • The word "if" has no place in a genuine apology. I'm sorry "if" you disagree with that.

3. To Live a Meaningful Life, Remember This One Thing

“To live a meaningful life, you must know that one thing is true: What you do already matters...”

What we liked:

  • Happiness is a by-product of usefulness - and you can be useful in big and small ways every single day
  • Waiting for a specific goal or milestone before you deem yourself accomplished is chasing an ever-moving target

You can read the full article here.

4. LifeFaker.com

These people built an entire freaking social network... to prove a point!

What we liked:

  • ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • We've spoken about social media before, now before you get mad about this... please just watch and listen
  • Think about why you post
  • How much of what you see on social media is really... real?
